FAMILY HISTORY ENQUIRIES​

As a church we receive a lot of enquiries about family history, in particular about those buried in the churchyard. As a busy parish, our clergy do not have the time to search through the church burial records. As such we have a member of the congregation who undertakes this role. We charge a fee of £40 per hour for this service which covers both her expenses and gives a small donation to the church to help cover our running costs. This enables us to ensure we can offer this service to the local community and beyond for the foreseeable future. ​For this fee you will receive a photo of any records found and any additional information that may be helpful (such as a photo of a grave, or you may be shown it's location). ​Unfortunately, the person who normally undertakes this role is unable to accept any more enquiries at the moment although we are hopeful to find a replacement soon.
